Hi, I’m Bruno Sousa, graphic designer and illustrator freelancer, and aspiring to conquer the world! I develop illustrations, websites and visual identity projects, always trying get the best visual and functional solution to each job.
The idea from the beginning was to create a website with a clean layout, highlighting the thumbnails of the portfolio, but without using dark colors in the background to give contrast.
The first step was to define the color palette, which began with the colors pink, blue and white. Soon after some testing, I realized that the pink color wasn’t very interesting, and I started using the orange and added some green to blue, creating a shade of greenish blue. Thus, the color palette was defined.
Later I began to assemble the layout. First I created the structure using a grid with 1000px width, separating the sessions with spacing of 25px. After setting the grid I started creating clean icons, always prioritizing the circular shape.
The next step was to mount the html + CSS + Jquery. I confess, I’m not very good at working with jquery yet, so I created only easy functions, with simple animation effects as well, but that was sufficient for my purpose.
The layout was created to become a theme for wordpress. Then, after creating the html + css + jquery, began deploying the functions of wordpress so that it became a theme.
Finally, I implemented the theme in wordpress, fix some bugs that appeared only after the site was published and …… tadaaaaaa!! I finished!visit Website
