Sidewalkland

Sidewalkland is designed to be an experience, first and foremost. Therefore, the site is a straightforward one-pager with no navigation to worry about and containing a very sparse amount of text. It’s all about listening, watching and being immersed in the assuasive vibes of this soulful Scandinavian band.

The site adopts a fully responsive “mobile first” approach, i.e. it was designed from the get-go to look great on low-resolution devices and then fluidly scale up via progressive enhancement (a conscious decision juxtaposed to going with the opposite, less dynamic technique of graceful degradation). This means it works flawlessly on phones, tablets and desktops – with- and without support for Adobe Flash. This approach also comes with a prominent key benefit: there is no need for developing and maintaining a separate mobile site – everything just adapts accordingly.
