Art Start

The site was designed for Art Start.
The purpose of ART START is to nurture the voices, hearts and minds of at-risk youth through creative arts workshops conducted daily inside homeless shelters and alternative to incarceration programs throughout New York City.

Pollen Brands not only volunteers in this program but offered to redesign/reinvent the brand — redesigning all aspects: new identity, website, donation forms, collateral, apparel, video editing, newsletter design and much more. Our mission was to communicate the passion that beats through a universal vein of everyone involved: the kids, volunteers, board members and sponsors.

If you experiment and play around on the site, you’ll find a significant amount of details that were custom-design, hand-illustrated, animated and programmed to encourage users to become fully immersed in the site through interactivity. If a user can spend more time on the site, and develops an emotional connection, they’re more inclined to take action, whether that’s via donation, volunteering, sharing or participating.
