Tell us something about your background to introduce yourself.
I am a Nashville based web designer and brand developer. I began my career in design via music in 1999. Started screen printing at a young age. Record labels began to hire me to illustrate for promotional materials, etc. My wife and I moved to Nashville in 2006. Since, I've worked on branding for Country Music Television and the Army National Guard. We definitely enjoy the Nashville design community.
Where from do you get your inspiration?
Most of my inspiration comes from clean user interface dating anywhere from present to the 1960's. In terms of illustration and graphic design, I pull a lot of inspiration from older sci-fi artist like Ralph McQuarrie, Dan McPharlin, Michael Whelan, etc.
Do you use a sketchbook for your drafts?
Typically, yes.
What is your favored machine (Mac/PC)?
Mac
What new projects are you currently working on?
I am currently developing branding for several Nashville cable television shows. Working on a few things that will be in issue #81 of Advanced Photoshop Magazine. As well, will be doing a series of spreads for Los Angeles based, Proxart Magazine.
